Quiet Little Things

Smiles from the simplest pleasures this week; rediscovering a little box of feather butterflies, playing with my typewriter, obsessing over the pattern on a preserve spoon from a junk shop, admiring dangly feather earrings I'd forgotten I had, beautifully aged paper against sunlight, sipping from a Disney Princess cup.

A headache I cannot shake has slowed life down a touch, hoping it'll clear off at it's earliest convenience but until then I'm a little more fragile than usual.

  2. such gorgeous photos! Love them. Oh how I love the typewriter. I've got an old one sitting back at my parents house, in my old bedroom. I really should go and get it one day.

Thank you for your comment. Have to say, I'm pretty excited about my new skirt! It was a dress for so long, but I never wore it. Should have chopped it up and bought a pretty petticoat ages ago!

Enjoy your evening, and of course, all of your beautiful clutter!

  5. I find it a little scary how similar we are sometimes!! Just this morning I was delighting in the patterns on the cutlery at the thrift store! I picked some spoons which I justified I needed for my work lunches but then spotted a fork with two tiny stars on it and HAD to have it! easy decision at 25cents a piece! Love your photos!

  7. Aw I was actually reminiscing over Disney cups with floaty glitter and confetti inside the other day - I miss my Winnie the Pooh one! Also recalling how every kid had one of those plastic curly wurly straws in the 90s...

  16. There is nothing more endearing than playing around on a typewriter, however far technology may take us, a typewriter will always have a special place in my heart. Dearest Jem, you quite simply have the best taste in tea cups, and of course a Disney Princess one is right up my street! xxx
