From gloomy afternoon to dusk

Yesterday was oh so grey, and dreary, and flat.  I like heavy rain, moody skies, high winds and snow - but yesterday was completely nondescript; just grey, and those are the days of winter I find most difficult.  But grey days have their own silver linings in that the light seems dimmed and subdued so if you're feeling inclined you can set your tealights aglowing mid afternoon and take gratuitous snaps of them looking pretty and flickery.  Or attempt a time lapse of sorts to watch them glow brighter as the sky darkens, for no particular reason besides their loveliness.

{I'm pretending not to notice that the windows are in dire need of a clean}

  12. Dear Jem,
    I love your blog. Your votive holders are so pretty. Candles always cast such a wonderful glow. Grey days are everywhere. I find these grey days hard too handle as well. There always seems to be so many of them in the month of February. I am grateful that March and April are around the corner. Thank you for sharing your pretties.
