Favourite Thing on a Friday

This week I'm joining in with 'Favourite Thing on a Friday' over at Mimi and Tilly.  I wouldn't call this Friday's favourite a 'thing' as such -  more an experience - and it's as well to let the pictures do the talking on this one but suffice to say I enjoy watching a glorious sunrise over my little town.

Ashbourne is gorgeous, historic and crammed with lovely listed building as it is, but something about the way the sunrise warms everything it touches makes it all the more appealing to me.

  1. Beautiful photographs Jem. Thank you for sharing them on Favourite Thing On a Friday. I love sunsets too, but the ones in Ashbourne look like something really special. I go to the beach near where I live sometimes and watch the sun go down, the colours are just amazing. Em xx

  4. I haven’t been to Ashbourne in years. These are lovely shots. How lovely that you can see green fields, and in the second shot, even the church clock face is glowing in the reflected sunlight.

  5. Gorgeous pictures. There is a company someone told me about that takes a photo of a sunrise and sunset every day so you can order a print for the day your child was born or for a special occasion day, i thought this was a lovely idea. Scarlett x

  6. Hi, just found your blog via Mimi and Tilly. Those pics are so atmpospheric. The light really transforms the houses, like a moment captured in time.

  7. Even though you do have some wonderful subjects, be it views or pretty finds - your skills as a photographer are impressive. I love sunrise and sunset equally, I also love the moon, so I should be happy all the time!
