Thrifty Things

I saw this little basket type thing for £1 and immediately pictured it full of Digestives or Rich Teas end up - or if I'm a little more flush - macaroons!

What possessed me when it came to the little glass bell at 95p - other than 'sparkly' - I'm not sure.  Maybe my inner Lady Grantham of Downton Abbey ringing for tea?

Possibly most excited about this little set of drawers for 50p though - I've always wanted lots of miniature chests of drawers to fill with various stationery/crafty bits and bobs.

I thought about painting them white but actually like the pattern . . .

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

  1. The littelechest of drawers is dinky. I’d leave it as it is; it’s a nice warm colour and the pattern is suitable vintage.

  7. I haven't watched Downton Abbey Jem, but I get the connection...so when's your next afternoon tea party and who is going to do your bidding when you ring your little bell?

I really like the little drawers (just the way they are) x

  10. Hello Jem, thanks so much for stopping by. I have so treasured your comment & entirely agree..we are indeed custodians of vintage, aren't we privileged to shelter such history. I love your silvery basket...perhaps fruit digestives? Can I come for tea? Much love Catherine x
