Ballerinas, Blooms and Baubles

Happy-making things . . .

Flautical ballerinas.  Not that flautical is a word, but it should be - how else can we describe things that are both floral and nautical at the same time?

Beautiful Sweet Peas and the heady, pretty, distinctive scent of them wafting through the house on the through-draft I've managed to coax in through windows hoisted open.

Simple lavender pomanders with blousy artificial blooms and a 1920s costume necklace faintly discoloured over time.

Presents from afar sent by my favourite Aussie after Kate Morton - Kylie of Lucy Violet Vintage; delicate miniature frames that remind me of Christmas baubles arrived wrapped in squares of vintage fabric tied up with string.

An accidental YouTube find and subsequent favourite.  Gorgeously edited Super 8 of an idyllic holiday to Pembrokeshire & visit to Skomer Island with a song I love as it's soundtrack.

  17. Flautical? Are you sure you don't write for Grazia? That's definitely the kind of word they'd use!

I had some sweet-peas from my mum, such a shame they don't last long, I must try growing them myself.

Lovely lovely frames from Kylie, and beautiful necklace too, such a pretty post x
